Yeah, I did something extremely similar which I literally cannot bring myself to share the details of. I typed it out just now and I can’t post it because it makes me turn inside-out with shame. Nothing quite like bringing someone you know’s terrifying trauma back to the surface by being a mega-plank.

this reminds me, i used to work with someone who named her kid keegan. id forgotten about it til i read mark e smiths book this year, and realised he wrote it at about the time i worked with her and that we all lived in bury, and her husband managed a pub…

Once confidently pronounced “epitome” as “eppy-tome”, was mortifying.

Similarly, I still get a shiver down my spine when I recall how, at the age of 18, I confidently pronounced placebo as place-bo.
