This is it.
Anyway, @1101010 – from 1:57.
what
I love SP. I really want them to reunite and tour.
He has been dropping hints about it like crazy on instagram, then he announces this album.
Facebook live videos have been good, lots of old stuff, but with his new weird vibrato vocals
Last time I saw them it was O2 arena in early 08. I loved it but I’d love to see them again without all the awful Zeitgeist stuff clogging up the set.
I’ve only seen them once post reform, for their last album, he played lots of hits but it was just Corgan and some hired goons
think i’d be too embarrassed to go to an SP show nowadays
Haha I’d probably book a few days off work and treat it as a holiday if it was a legit reformation
I’m currently staying late at work on the off chance I can get tickets for that Corgan film screening when they go on sale later (can’t rely on my phones internet) will be hugely embarrassed if anyone asks why I’m still here
Billy has a kid now, or so sayeth wikipedia. Didn’t think he was the sort. Maybe he’ll grow his hair back so he don’t scare the littlun
I wonder how a legit SP reunion album would be greeted. It feels like one of those things where everyone treats it as a Welcome Return to Form, even though it’s probably not much better than his last few album and it’s forgotten by the end of the year. I guess there’s maybe a certain logic to Billy reuniting with the other members might alleviate some of his worst tendencies, but that seems awfully optimistic.
what’s with his voice? It’s got that Coldplay yawn-singing tone.
Here we go, streaming on NPR. http://www.npr.org/2017/10/05/554282861/first-listen-william-patrick-corgan-ogilala
Went back to Zeigeist this week for a re-listen. Some of the tracks on it are great. However, his ludicrous backing vocals all across that album are testing to say the least.
I think that album would be decent if the mastering wasn’t a mess. Thats The Way (My Love Is) could be an incredible song but the instruments sound so thin and the bass sounds so flabby.
SO much this. Got a couple of dud tracks (Pomp and Circumstances, in particular), but also has quite a few decent ones. It’s just the mix and mastering that’s terrible. Tinny as all fuck. The bass guitar is almost missing.
Bring the light is the worsttttt
as if David Bowie’s ghost would want to spend any time with Billy fucking Corgan
Think they were pals
Can’t finish the new album. Three and a half tracks is enough.
What is it about piano and vocals that instantly gets an album an enthusiastic response?
