Once a family of rats were in the grey bin outside and they were so scared they squeaked and hid under the single bag in there but their butts were sticking out :sob: it was a big rat and 2 baby rats, I wanted to hug them :sob:

Please be nice to the rats who frequent your bins, who are just trying to find shelter and food and look after their families and survive the big city
Spraying peppermint oil in the bin will deter rats because it messes with their sense of smell and they may avoid your rubbish and it wont hurt them

It was character building but also traumatic :nauseated_face::sob:

Do you have dominion over your bin?

It’s my dream

in what way would i not?

 I guess it was character building, at one point, in between anguished sobs and dramatic dry retching, I seem to recall thinking β€˜look at me though, I am cleaning this bin, I am really dealing with this situation here like a proper adult human being’

When we lived in the flats, we had the big communal bins. Went out at like 3am before going away on holiday, opened the lid and a cat leapt out. No idea how it had got in there or how long it had been in.

I share mine with others in the same building. And, let me tell you, they cannot recycle. It drives me nuts

I just want my own bin

not from my bin but my neighbours swapped ours around by mistake once and theirs had maggots in so I had to clean that :frowning:
