Dunno, just always found them a bit shit, with chocolate infinitely more satisfying as a sweet treat should I be so inclined.

I like sweet things for the most part, but probably not as much as is average - never liked and hate a lot of fizzy drinks too.

Also don’t like crisps either much, but will tuck in and enjoy them ok when really hungry or whatever.

Absolutely not, and you are incredibly wrong.

I’m not saying you’re wrong, just that to my sweet toothed self there are biscuits and sweets and together they cover the whole gamut.

tbf I ate a shit ton of chocolate growing up to make up for it.

Just curbed all of my sweet treat consumption now as I got older but now I drink too much coffee and wine. Also I just CRAVE carbs like pasta salad and bread all the time.

I AM saying you’re wrong because you ARE wrong.

Truffles? 100% dark chocolate? these things are not sweets you philistine

I remember watching some of The Agitator when they supported FotL

Fucking horrendous band.

Oh I’m sorry, I guess I didn’t grow up spending my pocket money buying truffles and 100% dark chocolate. I just went to the local newsagents where I could buy chocolate mice and boiled sweets and all sorts and I just called the lot ‘sweets’.

So you’re saying your intellect and wider knowledge of the world is still the same as when you were a young child? explains a lot.

Also sweets and chocolates are kept in different places in the shop even.

Fucking hell ban yourself

If you’d said “confectionery” you’d be all set for the gulag, but it’d at least be understandable

Have you never gone near a pic’n’mix at the cinema? Well let me tell you that those of us not dining nightly on truffles do go there and you will find both chocolate and other sweet goods alongside each other, living happily.

Sorry @elthamsmateowen my heart’s not really in this.

I do consider chocolate and sweets to be different. I just can’t conceive of anyone wolfing down slabs of chocolate while turning their nose up at a jelly baby or a cola bottle *

*veggie alternatives are available.

I’ll admit the angle for nose turning when necking chocolate does sound uncomfortable.

they’re pretty different though - especially if, like me, you generally like the things that don’t have caramel and the like in it.
