I remember an old 90s video of Bjork where she was presenting a number of her favourite music videos and talking a bit about each one. It was impossibly charming. Can’t find it on YouTube, does anyone know what I’m going on about?
Bjork & Arca feature in i-d magazine. Photography is stunning.
Still have my ticket for this btw, June 2022 now.
oi oi
Got my tickets. Bjork! Telescopes! Orchestra! Sick.
Vespertine is still my favourite Bjork record.
Just thought to post this here – the first of the endlessly delayed Orkestral shows is finally taking place & being livestreamed from Reykjavík tonight (21:00 BST).
Details/tickets here.
I have tickets to one of these but long stopped reading the emails. Should probably do that.
I watched it. We have bought the pass to watch all 4. I really enjoyed it. Only an hour long with no encore but there was no chat at all, just a ‘thank you’ in Icelandic between each track, then she introduced the conductor etc at the end. The stage was pretty minimalist, no backdrops or anything, but the production/direction of it was really good.
Its on YouTube, though I imagine not for long - what a setlist!
I also thought it was a really lovely show – particularly the second half once her voice had warmed up a bit. That final run of Hyperballad / Harm Of Will / Bachelorette / Unison was gorgeous. It must be so strange to have to get used to singing live again after such a long break.
Apparently she performed Generous Palmstroke as an encore after the livestream finished.

Yeah, she was struggling a bit at the start. As you say, must be so weird to get back to live singing, particular with such an extreme and distinctive voice.
Ooh looks like a new album in May. If the exhibition is still on in August I may even be able to visit.

Someone seems to have accidentally let the cat out of the bag early… the reports of the exhibition & new album have been scrubbed from the internet very quickly
has anyone pointed out its not 2020 any more
Also Pompidou Metz is in Metz not Paris!
