Liked it. Probably unwise to see a 9:15pm showing after a manic day at work - was cursing myself when my mind started drifting an hour in. I actually nearly left as I felt I wasn’t in a prime film viewing state. I liked it, but have to admit I was checking my watch towards the end and wondering when it would finish.

It looks absolutely amazing. When the original is your reference point and you have that sort of money available then that should go without saying obviously, but there are loads of nice touched. This article on all the thought that went into all the UI design is pretty cool.

Looking forward to a digital release so I can watch it again at home.

Didn’t do very well in China either it seems (outgrossed by Geostorm!). Hasn’t done too badly in the UK at least.

I think I’ll stick to my original 7/10 score having re-watched it.

Watched this again at the weekend - enjoyed it less second time around. Think that now the dust has settled and the initial excitement is done, this is…a not very well constructed film. I’m marking it 5/10 :no_mouth:

thoroughly enjoyed this, thought gosling gave a tremendous performance and some of the imagery was stunning. lots to chew over and think about. felt like almost every moment was well used, and it was clear every dollar was up there onscreen. wonderful moviemaking.

Have to say I felt very undwhelmed by it too and probably wouldn’t give it the extra chance you have. A lot of empty intellectual posturing and it dragged on endlessly - I actually fell asleep at points, which I haven’t done during a film since Jurassic Park 3!

This is on Netflix now.

My take: Looks incredible, takes forever to go anywhere, bit wanky at times, more shallow than the original.

My wife’s: That’s 2 hours of my life I’m never getting back.

Watched it a few times now and love it. Don’t get the whole replicant army plotline though. Also could do without Jared Leto as could every film that features Jared Leto.

I assumed this was to setup a sequel but also it sort of works as a background to how the world isn’t going to be stable in its current form for long.
