The media keep referring to them as the rap group Bob Vylan.
I’m no Bob Vylan super fan but I’ve never thought of them as a rap group.
Yeah but if you’re black and a musician then you must be a rapper it seems
There’s rap elements for sure but they’re definitely a punk band, but whats beautiful about that is they’re basically fufilling the loop about how the two genres are extremely interconnected and come from exactly the same place (hemce why you get acts like Danny Brown and Denzel Curry playing hardcore festivals and don’t even get me started on my theory that MF DOOM is one of the greatest punks ever)
Got confused for a moment and thought you’d joined us in the 311 thread.
I may be doing some Satanic Advocacy here but I think you’re overestimating how convincing my aforementioned Loudest Voices are to people who don’t already agree with them
I once pitched this idea to The Qiuetus, they weren’t into it.
I don’t know if this was the case before Saturday (I hope it wasn’t) but all the tshirts on their merch site are currently sold out
has anyone pointed out that he’s quite attractive ![]()
Neil is mine, back off
They’ve talked about this a bit before: they got categorised under rap/hip-hop on one of the download charts and they didn’t understand why, because they see themselves as (and are) a punk band. But black people only get one kind of music, I guess.
Bad Brains want a word
Yeah. Probably the best punk band that has ever been too. Shouldn’t be that difficult a concept to grasp.
(Not aimed at anyone itt btw - just the msm having difficulty with it)
Aye similarly my response wasn’t in to anyone here,.more a general point
not really about whichever voices are loud, though
fwiw, I’ve not been in that thread in a minute because I get easily exhausted in current affairs threads (long story, but OCD-related) and that one feels close to home because of how my mum got taken in by Zionism, Islamophobia, etc, when her paranoid schizophrenia was really bad
but until the point I had to stop, it had been a matter of people sharing Palestinian voices (and dissenting Jewish + Israeli voices) that had provided the facts + strengthened my personal convictions on the matters
if carnivalboy had really paid attention to those voices, he’d have no doubts either
really suited that tennis outfit he was wearing
I remember reading that Skunk Anansie were placed into the soul/RnB section of a New York record shop back in the day. ![]()
No doubts about what exactly?
That the IDF is unambiguously a force for evil and saying so has nothing to do with antisemitism
At no point have I disagreed with any of that.
