Mitski soon after Puberty 2 came out at Electric Circus (RIP) - maybe just her second Scottish show? 7 years later and she was playing a venue about 10 times the size

Wet Leg on the last tour before they got HUGE (Mash House), think they’d already announced O2 Academy gigs for later that year before our smaller gig had even happened. Was such a blast being in a room where everyone know all the words, felt happy to be there, knowing it probably wouldn’t happen again with that band. Not an iconic band but still very fun to catch them at that moment in their rise

Radiohead at the Windsor Old Trout in may 1992, supporting Sultans of Ping FC

Polly Harvey at a party in a pub in Yeovil doing Abba karaoke, New Years Eve 1990/1991

Pre-Supergrass The Jennifers at the Mauritania in Bristol, it must have been September 1991 as the band I was in at the time also played and we were listening to Trompe Le Monde in the car on the way up as it had just come out that week

Blur at Bristol Poly, November 1990 - She’s so High tour

Pulp at Taunton Youth Centre, October 1991

Various members/versions of Reef & Kula Shaker at 6th form lunchtime gigs

what a combo! would this be Source Tags era?

Arctic Monkeys - Saw at their 1st Manchester Gig
Wu Lyf - Saw at in the city before An Outlet (I have genuinely no memory of this, a mate I was with says this) still saw them at An Outlet. Plus the gig in St Peters.
The Courteeners - for my sins, when they used to play anywhere that would have them.
Lana Del Rey - Ruby Lounge (she played for 30 minutes and got off)
Foals - at that house party in Fallowfield (I wasn’t in the house was having a cig outside trying and failing to chat up someone from the University)
Klaxons - on their 1st tour (they won the Mercury it counts)

Quite a few first gigs in Manchester types that already had some hype/an album out, DIIV, Mac Demarco, Warpaint, Willis Earl Beal (my favourite gig ever), Janelle Monae, Parquet Courts, Merchandise. Probably others I’ve forgotten.
