The Blinder

Wasn’t that supposed to be Corbyn doing a ‘heel turn’/‘switcheroo’/‘face turn’ (as it was also being referred to on here) by taking a full-fledged opposition stance to Brexit happening (rather than a continuation of the ‘jobs-first Brexit’ vibes) just as soon as the Tories had run themselves aground and left Brexit exposed as the shitty idea that it is?

At least, that’s what the vibe reads like if we go back in time a bit:

(Dunno who anon30627475 is in all of that. Seems like a once fully ‘legit’ user (rather than a fleeting troll), going by the stats.)

It was. I think it’s since morphed to any good thing he does.

Correct.

It was supposed to be the switcheroo when everything looked awful.

But the goalposts have moved so much a soft Brexit is the absolute most we can dream of.

goalposts can change for the better. don’t know why it really matters when people say ‘look at the polls and how many people still support brexit’. worth noting that this is the case with a eurosceptic leading the opposition against a largely pro brexit ruling party.

Can you clarify on the goalpost movement? Things look pretty awful. Was it supposed to be a different kind of awful?

What does the bloke in the middle of the picture think he’s taking a picture of?

The photographer taking the photograph, obvs

Don’t ask me. I thought he was waiting for the right moment to oppose it. By goalposts have moved i mean i have lowered my expectations.

Irish government preparing for a no deal Brexit.

This doesn’t look complicated at all

They’ve just confirmed I won’t be able to legally drive on a UK licence in Ireland (as a resident) after no deal.

So that’s a 48 quid appointment at the Irish dvla booked for me then! (still won’t happen in time for March 29th)*

Thanks brexit!

*This is just a minor financial and bureaucratic inconvenience for me personally but this is the tip of the iceberg isn’t it? So many people are going to have so many problems
