The Brady amendment bunch of cunts

I’m sure you’re right, but surely the collective ‘might’ of our elected parliament should be beyond blame shifting when the future of the country is at stake?

Are politicians worse than accountants?

The future of the Conservative Party as the party of government is at stake as well. It’s a question of priorities.

It’s not about ‘collective might of parliament’ either, there’s nothing the opposition parties can do unless Tory MPs and DUP MPs vote against the government.

What’s been going on? I’ve been trying to write a post about how the north east is still a hot bed for working class socialism and I’ve missed the Brexit happenings.

The EU have already issued a statement saying that if the Brady Amendment gets passed they’re going to reject it. So, this is all pointless from a broader, non-Tory-party-as-the-party-of-government perspective

I had considered Tory MP’s and the DUP to be individuals, but I guess that’s the point of whips. It’s nice that politics is rooted in self interest over anything else. It’s hard not to question the motives of people going into it as a career. It seems like no matter how far someone tries to reject the dark side, eventually they’ll end up pulling the rug out from under the younglings.

Accountants are better than Joanna Newsom.

I’m guessing the Spelman rule out no deal amendment would have just been voted down :expressionless:

Having worked with them I would say - as colleagues - better than accountants, worse than lawyers, somehow infinitely less punchable than academics.
