is that for sure? I mean, she’s not going to delay it until a fortnight’s time or owt?

glad this vote is anonymous cos no one seems to agree with me and that’s quite embarrassing

The croaky lady is not for quitting!

The speaker has confirmed that he has not selected any amendments to today’s motion, which means that the vote is expected at 7pm without any delays.

might make a lamb soubry and chips tonight

Fuck you I’m going to do what they told me (eventually, I swear).

She could theoretically pull the vote still if she wanted though couldn’t she? (Not, I hasten to add that I would expect her to - I think today was her last roll of the dice.)

I was torn between ‘forced out’ and your option actually. As much as I never thought she’d quit in the past, I can’t see a single thing she can realistically do now.

A dance!

Correct. But extremely unlikely.

It seems that she is aiming at losing the vote with a reduced margin, so that she can say if she gets another go at negotiating with the EU, she can really bring it home at the third meaningful vote (possibly using the extension of Article 50 as a bit of breathing space).

Sadly the only thing she has in mind is that the UK leaves on the 29th. If that means No Deal she’ll just say that this was the will of the people. Any blame will be aimed at the EU for not indulging her.

How could anyone give her any justification for negotiating again? WHAT ARE WE ALL DOING?

Nah the main thing on her mind is her bloody party. She knows that crashing out will destroy it, so that’s not an appealing option for her.

Not necessarily.

Juncker said last night said that a short extension until 23 May can be allowed without the UK participating in the European Parliament elections.

Ian Blackford is probably the only party parliamentary leader who’s actually leader-ish in the conventional sense when he gives speeches.

Nicky Morgan seems to be doing a better job of arguing in favour of May’s deal than May’s ever managed.

Surely that comes with its own problems to resolve? Given very little can be achieved by end of May, what would happen if there was another extension? Would we have to commit to a hard leave date?

That’s why you’re seeing some of those who voted against last time around swinging behind it - as the lesser of two evils.
