Looking at car parks I think Cabot Circus might be the best bet as I’ll be coming in from the M4 Eastbound (travelling from Berkshire). Even if it is expensive I just want somewhere central that I can walk back to easily after the gig. Looking at reviews of the NCP’s like Rupert Street, they sound awful and even more expensive.
Anywhere good to eat nearby? Looks like it might be an early gig as Strange Brew website seems to indicate will all be done by 10 pm (thus might need to eat afterwards if there is anywhere good nearby still open).
Not done strange brew but I always park at Cabot circus. It’s got a special evening rate of about £3.50 whereas I think the ncp one was over a tenner. It’s well lit and busy. Be aware of the ulez situation as Cabot circus falls within the charging zone.
Cabot will be the best car park for Strange Brew, only a few minutes walk and easy to get back onto the M32 afterwards. Think if you arrive after five it’ll only be three or four quid as well. Food options in there are a bit limited though, the usual chain restaurants you’ll find anywhere. It is pretty close to Old Market, where are more interesting options - there’s a brilliant ramen restaurant up there for starters
