Cool.

Great vegetarian food all over the place. For the best mucky stuff Oowee Vegan is a banger. Koocha just off Gloucester Road comes with the highest recommendation from the TV. Loads of non-veggie places have great veggie options like Flour and Ash (pizza) and Masa and Mezcal (Mexican - amazing place). You’ve obviously found Wapping Wharf but give Finzels Reach a go to for Left Hand Giant’s new wanker-beer-bar or just head to King Street for all the best beer places. As a minimum hit Small Bar and Beer Emporium, but there are about four or five others. You cannot go wrong there.

Obvious day trip is Bath (ten mins on the train). Beautiful place and very different to Bristol. Good pubs, great coffee, not been bombed to shit, but lots of tourists.

Lots of nice walks but around the harbour (you could do Tare as part of that), round the Downs (top of Whiteladies) or get a boat pass and go round the water on that.

Great city, bloody love it.

all good stuff. I’d throw in a walk around Brandon Hill and going up the Cabot Tower

There’s a BYOB curry place on the roundabout at the end of Queens Parade called Chai Shai, they do some great veggie food. You can buy pints from the Bag O’Nails next door and take them in. Izakaya at the bottom of Park Street does a lot of good cheap veggie stuff too.

Weather dependent you can walk up to Clifton Village and over the bridge into Leigh Woods, can do a nice loop in there. If the weather is anything like today then it’d be better to stick to town, the magic exhibition at Bristol museum is really good. A combination of St Nick’s market followed by Left Handed Giant is a solid Bristol Saturday.

@Steved is failing to mention the single greatest thing about the Bag O’ Nails, which is that it is FULL OF CATS.

Very much enjoying Bristol so far. Everywhere we’ve eaten and been to has been ace. The middle Eastern wrap place in the market today was absolute boss. About to start the comedy night at smoke and mirrors now. Tare was sensational
