Seems a degree more respectable than I remember, a combination of that artist/album list could basically be the Mercury nominees.
That said, last I checked in they probably had N Dubz and JLS and stuff on the nominees, some 15 years ago.

Mad, isn’t it? Don’t know what the criteria is. But I brought up EC’s inclusion in that BBC sound thing being a bit odd also and Sean got very defensive about it.
So, guessing “new” just means you hit daytime radio playlists in the past year? Means there’s hope for Cud to be Best New Act on their 40th anniversary.
