I waa watching Robot Chicken on there last week and there were 5 minutes of ads per 11 minute episode. Infuriating.

Dunno really.

A typical sky/cable package runs you, what, £30-40 a month? That’s equivalent of a whole bunch of streaming services that are £7-8 each.

Now, something you can plug them all into, to have a single front-end, that would be useful…

I obviously don’t have Brit Box but as an expat I am currently their target demographic so it gets advertised to me a lot.

It just seems to be shite like Keeping Up Appearances so can’t imagine it’s gonna be that popular.

I got a gut feeling that Netflix will be the first major player in the vod market to die. Theyre losing all their content providers as they all going off doing their own thing

That’s what I meant by a single shop front. It’s probably something broadband providers are already working on. £50 a month but you get “unlimited” streaming services.

Amazon have got in on this to a large degree - you can bolt on a bunch of smaller, specialist services and it plays them all through their front-end.

Sadly, they have a terrible front-end…

All the Streaming front ends I’ve used have been mostly terrible with the exception of Netflix

Baffled by how often Now TV and iPlayer try to force me to watch an episode they must know I’ve already seen and I have to resort to the search function to get to the latest episode
