They should invent vegetables that don’t taste of soil
I just love it so much, I can’t even begin to describe
broccoli needs a very very high heat
roast it in your oven at maximum temperature, same as you do for roast potatoes
on a chemical level, sprouts and broccoli change when the heat is high enough and become delicious
I also enjoy frying an entire head of broccoli chopped into small pieces at a maximum temperature with just salt, pepper and mixed herbs
good stuff
It’s good
Not my favorite out of all available green stuff though

+1 for ^this. Used to just chuck the stalks away like an absolute mug
Anyone ever go for the indie choice romanesco? Great bunch of fractals. Lovely nutty taste too…
More like a cauliflower than broccoli.

Broc stalks are the most underrated foodstuff. Broc’s great really. Great fried or grilled, amazing with south east asian food in particular. Only quibble is some places don’t chop their florets small enough, when it’s bigger than your gob that’s too much.

Broccoli fried up in garlic, veg stock and a bit of chilli powder is delicious
Tonight I’m either gonna have baked broccoli and tofu with teryaki sauce, or Korean fried tofu with steamed broccoli. Not decided yet, but I’ve got a block of tofu, a bit broccoli, jasmine rice and some spring onions ready to go.
King Of Vegetables
Always steamed, never boiled in water.
Yes, unfortunately space broccoli is a cauliflower. Such a shame.
Broccoli is the best veg though. Does it all.
Bloody love broccoli.
