“The label says they’re gonna drop me unless I give 'em a hit single… hey Stevie, stop shining that light in my face, it’s blinding me!”
the new Road Diary documentary is pretty good, eh?
was expecting a Disney puff piece but it’s a pretty emotional account of a band that are getting on in years, and how they have to adapt to keep making it work onstage. the fan interviews are quite sweet too. no one mentions surge pricing but that’s to be expected, it’s not Panorama or anything.
also amusing to learn that Bruce still shouts “IS THERE ANYBODY ALIIIIIVE OUT THERE?!” when soundchecking to an empty stadium
Just watched it, and yeah it was really good. Even having seen a few shows on the tour, the Last Man Standing/Backstreets bit still gets me.
I did feel like they were seeing something in Nightshift that I wasn’t, but in fairness I was usually using it as a bar break song.
TIL that “Nebraska” had a producer…
It’s going to be wild if we finally hear clips of Electric Nebraska via a grinning Marc Maron in a cheesy rock doc.
