Giles got the story to earshot wrong

Yeah, Jonathan wasn’t going to kill anyone but himself.

Had a friend who was obsessed with it, I was fairly “it’s s’alright” then really started to enjoy it and ended up loving it by the final season (probably as a good a finale as any really)

Favourite Season: 3 or 7, 7 is probably the one I rewatch the most, Spike and Buffy
Favourite Character: Willow
Favourite Episode:Storyteller or Hush
Favourite Villain:Adam or Glory

Uhhhh yeah you could/should

No disrespect but you have rubbish taste

It’s a world big enough for all opinions.

I’m delighted that you enjoy it.

He’s kidding himself if he thinks Merlin is iconic.

The ending of S5 is nowhere near as good as the ending of S3 or the fucking 6-episode stonker that makes up S7, FFS. I’d say it’s probably not even as good a finalé as S2, although that one is also a bit too weepy mopey.

Horses for courses, but S5 has it all. In the lead up, you’ve got Buffy going catatonic; then a road trip where she’s fighting on top of a motorhome.

In the final episode, there’s the planning (Anya pointing out the hammer and the orb) to the sense of doom (“We few, we happy few… we band of buggered!”), Willow rescuing Tara, Spike failing, Buffy bot tricks, Xander with a wrecking ball, Buffy pounding Glory, Giles finishing things off, Buffy pushing Toad-face off the tower and then making that jump. Followed by the scenes of them all reacting. Then “She saved the world. A lot.”

S7 was let down by the deeply shit Willow Ex Machina.

S3 was big fun but stupid because the evil demon’s plan to take over the world could be stopped by explosions. So his plan for world domination was faultless as long as he didn’t come across any armies.

tbf in one of the earlier seasons one the episode antagonist was stopped by a bazooka.

Fair point!

Fuck Sopranos and The Wire. Buffy is the best TV programme ever.

Best character in anything

waah a handsome cool witty character with moral ambiguity, give me more Xander, ffs salon

It lost me after the first paragraph claiming Fonzy ruined Happy Days. wtf?

Not a big spike fan but don’t think he is portrayed as particularly cool, more overcompensating for not being

when spike reveals that dracula still owes him 5 quid

when that horrific looking demon is rising up from the hellmouth and tension is building until you realise it’s only about four inches high.
“aw lookit the wittle demon”
“don’t do that xander”
“why, can it hurt me?”
“no, it’s just tacky.”

the silent episode! giles little presentation too

tera

awesome show.

I’d also add Kennedy’s attraction to Willow is slightly more complicated than saying she’s attracted to Willow’s power.

When they first go on a date she’s initially almost entirely skeptical of Willows abilities.
