Joke’s on him, for some reason none of the Leap card machines were working all summer so I didn’t pay for a bus for about three months.

Or a bus stop home would just have a tiny sign for the bus company and not even a printed timetable.

So you’d have to check before you left the house, memorise the timetable and just hope it turns up because if it doesn’t you don’t even have a phone to call someone

They used to. They don’t at the moment but soon* there will be bendy buses that look like trams for some reason.

My only available bus to college was cancelled halfway through my degree, and though it was scheduled for 11am (which was way too late in the first place) it never arrived on time so I’d have to arrive at half ten and wait for up to an hour. Crapshoot every time. Misery on wheels.

Live 5 mins walk from an almost 24-hour bus route (it is 24-hour at the weekend) which is useful for work when the weather is miserable for cycling.

Annoyingly there is a gap in the between about 2.45 and 4.15 and that 4.15 bus gets into the city centre a bit too late for the very earliest starts at work. Oh for a first bus about 15 minutes earlier or a fully 24-hour service.

It’s for a kind of Bus Rapid Transit type thing from Walsall - Birmingham - Solihull/the airport. So it’s like a half-arsed tram as a concept.

Only, because this is Birmingham, the bus lane isn’t continuous because car parking (for houses that already have massive driveways)!
