Butter

One of mankind’s greatest achievements. Can’t get enough of it. Just on toast, as part of a sandwich, melted on stuff, garlic butter, I could go on. What a wonderful thing. Let’s have some butter chat.

I’m a marge man, myself. Butter is a Christmas treat. Always been the way of it in my family.

Becoming more and more aware that my favourite flavours are salt and butter.

Cannot condone this.

Salted butter please.

All other foods are a vehicle for transporting salted butter to my mouth.

butter is the king

also the unsalted stuff is excellent as a cooking tool

making a steak = loads of salt soaked into the meat then unsalted butter smeared on for the final minute of cooking doesn’t overload the salty goodness

This stuff is the greatest in the UK.

For day to day use I have

  • Proper butter from a big block
  • Spreadable real butter
  • Clover or ICBINB or something like that
  • Margarine
  • Something else like lard or whatever

Little life hack: Take it out for a bit before you want to use it

Got a Le Creuset butter dish as a wedding present and never looked back. Spread goes in the fridge obviously but when we have real butter it’ straight under that overpriced porcelain.

Keep meaning to try that. Vitalite is what I use at the moment and it’s quite shit. Really miss real butter

Yes

when having a greasy spoon full english the best bit is always buttered toast on the cheapest of white breads
