Here for this. Puffy/Diddy/Whatever has obviously made his millions by being shit but I think he bottomed out in the late 90s and gave us these two marvels:

and Spike Jonze apparently making the video to this version while completely off his face, I guess?

(song starts 2m 30)

Actually that video is utterly mesmerising in how badly it runs. I had some hopes when Lil Kim was on her way up to the stage but no, it’s just WTAF wall to wall.

[EDIT: Lil’ Kim’s rap is still the only objectively good part of that song.]

these are good ones. I have loved a fair share of puffs music in my life but those are both his worst. the og all about the benjamins is all time tho.

Feels really weird seeing method man actually rap nowadays

Yeah unfortunately I heard the Dave Grohl version of Benjamins first so it’s really hard to accept the laid-back quiet nature of the original, although it’s definitely a good rap song.

Apparently Missy Elliot provided the chorus for it and basically made it sound good.

That video is weirdly way more choppy than the single I have but my favourite bad thing about Grohl/Zombie rock version is that it’s censored and as a result Lil’ Kim’s rap is pretty much half-silence. All’s said and done, it’s basically a great cheesy rock song.
