used to think twitter was fine but was back on it yesterday for the first time in ages and they’re really doing their best to fuck it up

Whatever context you want.

Although I didn’t write this in the opening post, I am coming round to the idea that the age of social media is in an advanced stage and perhaps something will replace it (probably not soon)

Instagram seems the most insidious.

For me, it’s the the one with the shortest gap between user and advertiser. Practically every other post outside your feed is trying to flog you something. Also, your mum is on it now

It means that Facebook isn’t just social media - it’s actual infrastructure

They also own WhatsApp & lots of other stuff
