The royal yacht :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Listening to this being talked about in Today in Parliament last night, I had to keep reminded myself that this is NOT a parody, this is gown men who are representatives of the country taking this seriously.

WE NEED OUR QUEEN MORE NOW THAN EVER AND WE NEED HER ON A YACHT

It was all about immigration really wasn’t it. Did people really care whether straight bananas or what other lie they might believe about EU laws being ‘forced’ on us, not really it was about immigrants. Even the sovereignty angle was really ‘sovereignty to make our own rules’ i.e. stop immigration.

It’s not like these people cared about democracy before, just the amount of ‘foreign’ people often in areas with very few foreign people. It’s just ridiculous and I still can’t believe where in this position and anyone is still considering taking it seriously.

Even worse knowing people like this won the last election and the referendum.

Couldn’t have put it better myself. Still wondering who the papers/Brexiters are going to blame when this country is shagged, and there is no EU and no more immigration (as well as the exodus of people here) to blame.

Left handed people. Never trusted those scum-bags.

It’ll still be foreigners. The EU will be blamed when they don’t let us have everything for nothing. There will still be brown people doing all the jobs we don’t want to for less - indeed there will be more, given we’ve opted out of the skilled worker pool of the continent. Muslims will still live cheek to cheek with the white working class in chronically depressed areas now deprived of EU funding. It will still be the immigrants’ fault, and it still won’t be racist to say so.

Boris reassures people:

Disappointing, but inevitable and I can’t blame them.

Yeah last referendum I was for Scotland staying with the UK as I was the UK staying with the EU but now, fair enough if we actually Brexit I hope they break away and stay EU members then I’ll go live there. Just a shame London can’t do the same.

Of course would that lead to the question of a hard border between Scotland and England? So funny if so. Is that the country leavers wanted back?

We’re hopefully going to get some decent piss-taking anyway.

It is insane, in an already insane situation, that May is basically fucking off Parliament and pandering to the hardline Brexiters in her own party. I hope the legal challenge is successful and I really hope MPs just out and say, “Look, Brexit is crazy and stupid and we aren’t going to ok it.”

Is there any chance at all that Theresa May is actually playing a long con on the aforesaid hardliners, i.e., posturing and making all the right noises but actually deliberately delaying Article 50 until the public begin to grasp the full implications of Brexit such as price hikes and job losses, thereby making the idea of remaining more palatable?

Hopefully (and I suspect) this whole ‘Brexit means Brexit’ nonsense is just an empty slogan designed to give the impression of Brexit.

It’s probably for the best that we just humour Leave voters for now. Nobody wants a repeat of June.

She’s not stupid. And I am actually clinging onto this theory in some small way.

By going ‘you want Brexit, I’ll give you Brexit’ and playing it like that and basically revealing how awful it would be…it could be a great bluff.

On the other hand. We really are fucked.

I like the idea that she might be doing this, and she’s certainly shrewd enough, with a history of ruthlessly playing people. However, she must know she’s at odds with a lot of the media (eg The Sun who will continue to push for Brexit and convince their readers it’s a good idea even while gradually they’re losing their jobs and eating out of bins or whatever) and for as long as we’re in the EU and the economy is in the toilet and those pesky foreigners are allowed to come into the country, UKIP and that cunt Farage in particular will always have that drum to beat and people will listen.

I think Farage might be toast soon.

It depends whether the papers decide to go after him when the stories about him paying off his east-european mistresses come out in the next couple of weeks.
