Yeah but you are posting on a forum where many posters pay £200 to go to a full weekend of music/comedy etc…

FT went solo immediately after million dead split in 2005. Reuben continued for a couple of years after that and even when they did split up, it took Jamie Lenman years before he returned to music. You’re talking shit mate, sorry.

Yes and no. I mean in a world with rich people, charging more for them is sort of part of moving money down the chain, in theory. It’s a pretty minor trickle-down though so in practice you’re right that the working classes running the day to day stuff there are unlikely to earn more as a result.

Not really sure what’s left to discuss when the above was posted ages ago

yeah I guess you have a point there. Maybe Frank Turner donates all the money he receives from this to charity?

Haha bad pr copy is bad pr copy.

I don’t know what you’re saying here. Either you think that I should have used that as an example of people paying what they want for something they like, or you’re comparing the two and saying £1k is worse than £200 for a similar time frame.

Not really about him, I mean that cost is just the general one so in theory premium services for rich are all about overcharging for something because for the very rich it seems cheap

Yeah but if half of it ends up in his pocket then what’s the point?

Mate, I’d hire the copywriter who can make THAT sound good

Ol @guntrip getting some numbers!

It’s impossible to know how much he gets and how much is profit and what he’ll do with it, though. I was just discussing the general question of huge sums on something because you’re rich.

Hors d’ouerves and gourmet dinner!

Remember on Buzzcocks when Bill Bailey told Donny Tourette he was as punk as Enya. Feel that also applies here

Got a bit sad thinking about the numbers I would be getting if it were on buzzfeed or something, and not the sad sack shell the NME has become.

Premium Cottage - Private Room, Private Bath
$2,899.00 – $2,999.00

actually insanely expensive

Bingo

Well, that’s unfortunate, as that’s the one of the two that makes no sense. As my dad always says, a house valuation doesn’t matter, it’s always the price that folk wil pay, and that applies here. I think a lot of folk at mental for paying £200 to go to T in the Park; same thing.
