yeah they all still exist - I mean I know a guy who makes medieval armour and weaponry for a living ffs - but you would still say that as career choices they’ve gone down the shitter since their respective hey days.
From reading magazines and newspapers occasionally, I have a feeling that proof readers and sub-editors no longer exist or are at least far fewer in number.
I see it more that they are now niche/highly sought after rather than mainstream/ up against loads of competition. But then I am a contrary little madam.
This is true. Most papers don’t have their own subs anymore and it’s all outsourced to shitty content farm-style agencies.
