Cash

What stuff do you still use cash for? Could you replace that if needed?

I think it’s just my hairdresser for me, because he doesn’t have a cash machine. If there were vending machines at work then those too, but there aren’t.

tipping and getting a trolley and drinks at bars where there’s a card limit. I pretty much put all my change into my bag, to have it when I need to tip.

I went to a local mini festival thing on Saturday in the park down the road from me

Figured I’d need some cash for it so went to the nearest cash machine to get some - had to queue for ages cos everyone seemed to have the same plan

Got there and all the stalls took cards

so cash is dead everyone

Still quite a few bars and restaurants here which don’t take card payments, although that is rapidly changing now.

Many of the places listed above either don’t take cards, or have a minimum spend requirement.

Went to a card-only salad place the other day, first time I’d seen that, weird

Doesn’t sound very appetising.
