But Coldplay’s A Rush Of Blood To The Head is a phenomenal record.
I wouldn’t go that far but it’s a decent record.
Totally lost interest after that, mind you.
Old man take a look at your life
Yeah it’s great
Nah, the real move is to say that their whole output is actually quite good,
Probably, the worst of their first 4 albums for me.
it’s a beaut, low-key one of my favourite albums
Viva La Vida > AROBTTH > Parachutes > X&Y
Shame they suddenly decided to jack it all in and go into hiding at some point circa 2009
It’s very good, but Parachutes and Viva la Vida are better.
Everything after the first four albums ranges from okay to garishly awful.
Thought the first album was decent, and A Rush of Blood to the Head was a strong progression from that. Striking album art, a memorable album opening, good tunes, bit moe of a fleshed out sound.
Actually makes me wonder what happened that meant I never even considered listening to any of the subsequent music. Something(s) must have changed a lot between this album (2002) and their next one (2005 apparently), but how much of that was me changing or public perception of the band I’m not sure. It’s almost enough to make me go back and check out one of their other albums, but not quite.
some great tunes sprinkled across those first four albums
