She had been ill so my sister cut out wet food for biscuits. But she’s really bugging me for food.

She’s oddly robust for a small thing. She’s only 2.4kg at the moment!

Thank you! I feel very lucky I’m financially able to adopt an older cat but bloody hell this one has been so heavy on the heart, not just the wallet!
This is everyone’s reminder to sort out pet insurance if you haven’t already!!

You’ve done a wonderful thing whatever happens.

I’ll also recommend everyone sorting pet insurance. Gizmo cost us over 7 grand, we would have paid the vets bills regardless even if it had crippled us, but it definitely made things a lot easier and stress free in Gizmos final year. x

I’ve already decided that when Tanuki dies (may he live for years and years), I will be adopting at least one older cat. Maybe a bonded pair.

Yeah, my parents were weighing up whether to renew our cat’s insurance because it was getting quite expensive and they have got money to pay for treatment if needed. However what swung it was that it means that if the cat needs expensive treatment it stops it being a tough decision at a difficult time.

Cleo has suspected cystitis! She is super sad and can’t pee and is feeling v sorry for herself. She had an ultrasound this morning which was pretty terrifying for her I think (terrifying for my wallet too jesus christ)

She’s on the mend now though - I have to try and collect a sample from her which is going to be…interesting. They also shaved her belly just where her only white patch is so she doesn’t have any white hair any more poor thing! She’ll be fine though I’m sure :heart_eyes_cat:
