She seems really friendly. I reckon Heidi (the lady that runs the cat charity) will love to see what you’ve done so far.

very friendly as far as strays go which is why I wondered whether she had a neglectful owner to begin with. we’ve got a nice routine going tbh - comes for a stroke and a bit of love, eats dinner and gets pissy if I don’t cut the meat up to her liking/bring tuna. then walks off, stares at me for a bit and cleans herself, then wanders back for a bit for a few more strokes and then I’m off.

Mate, do your parents live in the same country? Could moving her to there be a test for how she’d deal with a long distance travel? It’s properly hard trying to understand cats, if you never see her again you’ve taught her how to react with people in that station and she’ll be able to charm people into feeding her scraps and that. You’ve had a positive affect on that cats existence.

If you’re struggling to pay for her inncculation and that, to get her into the UK I’m happy to throw a tenner into a hat. If you need to do a wip round I’m sure others would be happy to contribute.

My flatmates away so I’ve been feeding her cat. The cats massively worried by the rain in our rooftop flat. First time I’ve made him feel properly safe and he’s just following about which has given me massive cat satisfaction.

nope, UK. which is the issue really.

but yeah, I’m gonna keep thinking about it in addition to looking at the charity ynot suggested. and yeah, if all else fails, i’ll have a scout round the area to see if anyone would be up for feeding her.

and cheers man  I need to find out more about costs etc tbh. money is tight at so maybe i’ overblowing everything. thanks so much for the offer though - really appreciate it.

Bernie saw the broomstick and witches hat and went a bit crazy and jumped on the hat and wont move now.

Maybe he’s actually a witch’s cat.

One of our cats feels a bit heavy. Not planning on doing anything about it unless the vet says we need to (checkup soon I think) but what do you do if you have two cats and only one of them needs to lose weight?

We have these

Mainly to keep flies off and shit but good to see who is eating what too

There are collar activated feeders but they aren’t cheap. More physical exercise?

They’re out as much as they want really.

It’s not really an issue, he just felt a bit bigger than usual and I was wondering how you managed it if only one had to lose it.

They are chipped so maybe that.

yeah, they need to retest for rabies don’t they?

yeah, i’m really not sure what to do atm. I might go ahead with the vaccinations/vet checks anyway. won’t do her any harm.

Honestly. This hipster with his vinyl records and mid-century modern furniture and condescending air and stupid moustache.

(I love him so much, he is the best)

Not to invalidate this, but just to offer a different perspective - when my mum moved abroad with her cat she gave him a sedative and he slept the whole way (4hr plane trip).

When she moved back 8 years later she rehomed him with friends rather than take him, but that was due to the long quarantine period at the time rather than the travel

When we had three and they were all on different food we had to feed them in three separate rooms and wait till they’d all finished eating. At least we only had to do that twice a day, but it really made going anywhere impossible. Could never just leave food out for them
