Do you feed her any dry food? At our girls’ annual check up the other month the vet mentioned they both have a little plaque on their teeth and asked this question. We stopped feeding them biscuits as they puke them up fairly regularly and were only feeding them wet food. The vet explained that biscuits help clean their teeth so should be part of their diet. Don’t know if that might help Katie?

Good luck, Cleo!

We experimented with leaving dry food out for them all the time and just topping up when they finish what’s there. We did this for Tesla and Sirius and they just nibbled a bit when they were hungry and never got chonky. These two idiots are another story, gorged themselves on about three days worth of food in one go, then puked up whole undigested chunks all over the kitchen. There I was, cleaning it up, asking them if they realise how expensive this James Wellbeloved shit is.

Yeah we put down wet food twice a day and then dry twice a day as well but only small amounts. The puker eats much more than the other one. The vet said she had ā€˜gastric thickenking’.

How is she?
Does she have a little patch of fur missing? I love that! They like a little stroke on it when it starts to get spikey!

I want a cat so badly.
But really I just want Princess back! :crying_cat_face:

Been looking at the Manchester & Salford RSPCA page about fostering kittens or a cat, and it sounds absolutely perfect for our situation. Going to fill out the form now as they’re still operating despite lockdown.

Oh, pal :broken_heart:

a) that’s a superb picture and b) I wouldn’t let them on those surfaces if it were me.

I’ve chased up the foster lady to see if she needs anything as she didn’t get back to me before.

Fingers crossed!

She had 4 teeth out and they found a disease in her mouth, but I think I’m more worried about her heart - the ECG was a bit irregular when she was coming out of the anaesthetic so they have done a blood test and might need to do an ultrasound to see if she has an heart disease or anything :broken_heart:

She is OK now - a bit wobbly last night and still quite slow and sensitive to noise (and she can’t miaow!). But she is starting to bounce around a little more now which is nice.

and yes she DOES have a patch of fur missing! I will make sure to give it a tickle

Ohhh is that a tiny bit of tongue I see??

She will adapt very well to the lack of teeth! Princess had one tooth left but you’d never know. She’d still try to chomp you even though it was all gums!

Poor baby, I hope she’ll be ok and her heart is ok. They may need to do some tests or give her a little medicine.

Haha yes it is! She sticks a bit of tongue out when she’s relaxed or tired - it really stands out because she is so black otherwise! I’m just glad they didn’t take away either of her two front teeth because they’re cute little fangs and they’re really part of her character

I hope the heart stuff will be fine. Initially the vet listened and we thought it was just some sort of cat-style white coat syndrome (she used to be a stray and didn’t enjoy the shelter etc). But I think it’s a bit more concerning that it showed while she was still under anaesthetic. Touch wood it isn’t too serious - she has never exhibited anything unusual really apart from being a bit of a weirdo so we’ll see!

Also my name isn’t Alex?
