Won’t lie, incredibly happy with the grotto I built under the tree

Found Snoopy in the bathroom sink earlier, batting the plug and completely ignoring that the dodgy cold tap was trickling water right down her head.

We have to remove the plug from the bath every evening so we don’t get woken by one of ours removing it and batting it around. If we close the door they destroy the carpet.

Gave Fig a little sparkly pom pom and, thoughtful as he is, he then he led me to the shoe rack, reached under and batted out a dead baby mouse he’d hidden under there quite some time ago.

If anyone is going to a craft shop then highly recommended getting these sort of tiny pom poms.

Fig is obsessed with playing fetch with them, though I do spend most of my time getting them out from under the two parts of the flat he can’t reach

My cat loses all her toys under the sofa because she likes batting stuff under there and then sticking her arm under to fish it out, except obviously often she’s hit it too far to reach. So half the time, you give her a toy and she just immediately puts it under the sofa.

Yes, it does appear he loses them on purpose. Have spent so long reaching under cabinets today.

Little cat has come back from a full 12 hours out with a wound on her belly. Reckon it’s about 1cm in length, probably from one of the neighborhood cats. Can’t really figure out what it is but she’s not too happy ATM

Going to attempt a trip to the vet this week to get her looked at.

She seems very upset with any attempt to probe at it but otherwise is happy to be spending the night in the bedroom. Hopefully see a vet tomorrow and get it sorted

Lost pom pom number 10 under the shoe bench again.

He’s going to stare at me from there all morning

Boe Update: vet thinks it’s a cat bite abscess but seems her whole belly is tender and sore also. She got antibiotics and has thankfully taken her painkillers well. Taking her back tomorrow for a checkup and maybe some X rays

We will now be transitioning her to being a 100% indoor cat from now on/until we move to a better neighborhood.

Oh poor bb! I’m sure you’ll make her feel like a princess & shower her with love and affection so she feels better.
