She’s almost back to normal now, I think the painkillers are making her not so upset! Not as bouncy as usual :slightly_smiling_face:

She improved massively yesterday :slightly_smiling_face:

The vet today told us the wounds weren’t from a cat, most likely from her not making a jump or getting stuck.

Her pride wounded, she has stolen my chair

She actually won’t move and I don’t want to lift her. Ffs

They can be a pair of absolute dickheads sometimes, but look at them :heart_eyes_cat:

When I got Fig I remember my neighbour saying she was going to get another kitten but “i can’t handle their teenage phase”. I didn’t know this was a thing.

Fig has made it known in the last few weeks that it most definitely is. I read it only lasts four months. Only.

He’s absolute peak dickhead.

Yep. The Jerk-faced Jerk phase (or “shit-head teenager”, if you prefer) is a bit of a trial.
Damn good thing they are so adorable!

I got my cat from the shelter at 9 months old, already neutered by them, and he went through quite a long phase of cushion humping .

He’s about 9.5 months. He’s not being horny, just playing for much longer periods of time but only with me never alone, pushing toys out of reach on purpose constantly and meowing non stop until I help him, really upping the whole I want to go out no, I want to stay in schtick. All just your usual cat stuff but massively over the top and for really long periods, and if he had a soft meow it’d be less annoying but as he’s siamese I panic to try to make him stop as all the neighbours can hear him.

One neighbour approached me earlier to ask if he was mine because “he terrifies my kids at night” no idea what he’s doing to scare children :see_no_evil:

This lamp switches on when you touch the base. The cat has figured it out now and does it to be a dick.

That thing next to him is an electric piano (live on the top floor and couldn’t get a real one up). He figured out how to switch on the power and play a dramatic bass chord with his arse when he wanted something. I now leave it unplugged when it’s not in use, so he needed to learn how to do something else that was annoying.

Oh mine also would fake attack the neighbour to make himself look tough, and until she talked to me and found out he’s just a dick who likes to pretend to attack people without actually biting or scratching, she was a bit scared of him.

Does he like the laser pens? Mine goes nuts for it, and because he runs around furiously he gets tired quickly and is then happy to sit down and relax after 5 minutes or so.

You can also train them to do agility with the laser pen.

He’s a bit bored of it, once he saw it was me controlling it he pretty much rolled his eyes at me and retired it from his toys. He loves his feather wand thing, need to get a few more varieties

I got one of those feather wands with the feather on a transparent string. He absolutely loved it until one day when he was playing, his enemy the washing machine made a loud noise. Now if I get it out, he leaves the room. Weirdo.

The laser pen is hung up on a hook underneath a picture in the wall, and my cat goes and sits with it and bats it loudly with his paw and stares at me to order me to start playing.

If I’ve forgotten to put it back, he paws the spot and yells at me.

Does your cat like those Paul Dinning bird videos? Those def helped me through the obnoxious teenager phase.

I’ll check them out. He likes watching Bob Mortimer fishing, but weirdly just for Bob rather than the fish, think he might want a male figure in his life :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

I’ll put some videos on for him now :+1:

It’s a guy who puts time lapse cameras on bird tables and edits the video to just the bits where there are birds

During Hypatia and Tanuki’s phase, a phone call with my mother had her treated to me escalating from “Stop making all that racket, you two!” to “I don’t care who started it; both of you knock it off!” in under four minutes.
