He needs a lesson about talking to strangers (or begging for food off them)

Leo’s a little tired out this morning after a busy weekend of sleeping

Snoopy likes sinks and now the bath, but because she’s fascinated with running water. The cold water sink tap runs a trickle if not turned off quite right, and we’ll often find her perched on the edge, biting and swiping at the water.

She’s now started shouting at us to follow her, and she goes and gets in the bath and won’t stop until we turn the big tap on a bit, so she can - yes - bite and swipe at the stream.

Eventually she gets fed up with her feet getting wet for no discernible victory over the cold wet monster and runs off, leaving wet footprints everywhere. My precious baby etc

She’s the first cat I’ve had as an adult and the first one I’ve lived with in ten years, and I’d honestly forgotten how weird they can be. She’s the best :two_hearts:

Carl Sagan loves jumping up onto high/awkward places before feeding time, in an attempt to be annoying / get attention / remind us it’s feeding time.

He’s jumped up on top of the shower doors a fair few times, and normally I bring him down myself after a while. But this time he managed to get down all by himself! (With Sausage then having to come investigate as CS had made a noise)

Such an elegant dismount.

You could send that clip to the ‘Place Where Cat Shouldn’t Be’ Twitter

Did anyone order a Box O’ Crazy? Come on, someone must need a Box O’ Crazy? It didn’t order itself?

Beastie has basically moved in. He goes home twice a day for food and spends the rest of his life on my sofa like this:

He’s also taken to sitting on my chest when I’m in bed. Which is adorable when he’s not sneezing in my face.

Oh my there’s a lot of catching up to do when you haven’t been in here for almost a year.

Such cuteness! So many lovely cats, so wonderful to see the kittehs growing too.

I’m so sorry for your losses @xcheopis and @ynot (and anyone I missed) - I’m blubbing like anything.

We lost Daisy a fortnight ago, she was 17, diabetic, had a heart condition and the vet had recently found a large lump in her abdomen. But she’d had a good life. She used to belong to M’s mum and we inherited her so it was extra tough for M. We had a little service and buried her next to Weasel in the back garden, the kids said some words and G played a little tune on the recorder. nearly the first thing Velvet (her son) did after this was piss on the disturbed earth, but I’m taking that as a sign of respect

Here she is in one of the beds G set up for her around the house when we realised she didn’t have long left.

I am so sorry. Losing them is just so hard, even when you know it’s for the best.

I didn’t realise I’d been liking posts on my local cat rescues Facebook page quite so much.

So sorry, what a lovely, venerable cat she looked.
