I had a subscription to Q for a few years.

It set me back a decade.

They actually have some really good journalists writing in-depth pieces on very DIS-friendly bands - can’t remember buying a physical copy in the last ten years, but see some good stuff shared on Twitter by Laura Snapes, Laura Barton etc.

Can see why people do take against it based on the covers, and rotations of the same 10 or so bands. NME had a similar problem towards the end of its time as a paid-for mag.

the sad (?) reality of music mags is that of they don’t have one of their “core” bands on the cover they don’t sell any magazines

and presumably only white middle aged men actually buy music magazines

so this is our fault really

Vaguely remember that feature and i remember Tom Hibbert from his Smash Hits days.

Much preferred Vox in the early 90s, which was a bit more Dylan and Springsteen as opposed to Q’s Clapton and Sting.
