Oh that’s the old URL innit

You can get it in Boots. I got some recently but I’ve only used it once so I can’t vouch for whether it’s any good or not.

Okay, thanks. Is what you can buy in the UK generally the same stuff wherever you buy it?

i have no idea tbh, i see specialist CBD shops sometimes which i imagine might have more specialised or stronger stuff or whatever. even in Boots there were some really expensive ones. i bought this because it was the cheapest by a long way

but yeah i have no expertise in it whatsoever but hopefully some of the people in this thread might come along and help!

My friend runs an online shop selling it:

Having not used it myself, I can’t vouch for its potency though.

I recently got some annoyingly branded ones from a beauty website when I needed to spend a tenner to make up a spend threshold. It’s called BeYou and is marketed for period pains etc. I like it a lot, usually get awful cramps and period pains and haven’t since using this.
I’m not sure if it’s a placebo effect but it also seems to help my mood, I’ve noticed I’m a lot more content and chilled since taking it. Improved my sleep for a while but I feel like that wore off. Maybe that part is all placebo :woman_shrugging:t2:

interesting, presumably no placebo effect on dogs

Tried this once thinking it would be the answer to my prayers. Did nothing for me. Had to get it delivered twice because I think a stoner housemate robbed the first package (it was one of those houseshares with about 13 people with separate floors)

The dog may not experience the placebo effect directly but the owner could, ie the owner believes that the dog is calmer or whatever, or expects it to be so acts differently and the dog picks up on that and changes its behaviour

Dutch Healing Company is supposed to be very highly rated. I did a lot of research when I was looking into it myself. Very good to deal with too, sent me the package twice because the first one vanished.

is chat about other supplements allowed?

i’ve recently become interested in 5HTP and L-Tyrosine. The former boosts serotonin which is good for mood, anxiety, weight loss and sleep, and the later focus, motivation etc. People recommend taking them together as the 5HTP can deplete dopamine. Dont know if it is a placebo but apparently the 5HTP is well known to help people on MDMA comedowns which adds credibility to me

Tried it a bit and couldnt tell if it worked, felt like the 5HTP was helping me get to sleep, made me feel calm quickly, but I kept waking up wide awake in the middle of the night defeating the purpose. When I started to include the L-Tyrosine I had a really good week, super productive at work and in leisure time. Possibly placebo effect (reckon I am quite probe to it, like whenever I read a self help book I feel totally cured of various problems for about a week).

Anyway decided to stop taking it as I’m going to go to the doctor to explore attention deficit and think so probably best not to mess with my brain chemistry too much

Boots have a 3 for 2 offer on a lot of stuff at the moment, I’ve used it to order three different cbd things just to see which (if any) work for me. Will report back.

Been thinking about trying this to help with my bruxism (teeth grinding).

Ive got a mouth guard which stops some of the damage to my teeth but i still bite down on it a lot which causes me to wake up with a headache at least once a week.

Anyone used CBD oil to help with this?

I found CBD oil seemed to get me to sleep faster and more deeply but I am told that the teeth grinding continued unabated.

my wife suggested I take these to help with my sleep which I struggle with a bit due to my unsociable work pattern. I didn’t have too much trouble falling asleep, it was staying asleep long enough that I struggled with. I’ve found these to be a great help and I now sleep longer as a result. I only take them the night before a shift though (1 50 mg capsule 2 or 3 times a week depending on shift patterns).

My wife has a number of health issues for which she is still trying to get a diagnosis. Mainly chronic fatigue and joint pain. She was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis about 7 years ago but she was discharged from that specialist about 2 years ago with them saying they don’t believe it is RA that she has. She has been diagnosed with trigeminal neuralgia and also has depression and anxiety, all of which she is treated for. Someone from another forum I frequent recommended we check out a Swiss company called Cibdol, mainly for the treatment of pain and fatigue. She tried the 15% dose for a few weeks. She felt there was a noticeable reduction in her anxiety but no effect on the pain or fatigue unfortunately. Whether she was taking a strong enough dose we don’t know. The cost of it though means it not worth taking it for the marginal improvements in her anxiety. Her sleep was a bit off too (more broken, more vivid dreams)

I found that high cbd/low thc (e.g., 18:1) helped the most to decrease my morning pain and inflammation and I feel more rested. I still take my meds, of course.
