We end up washing and hanging onto any plastic tuppers we get with takeaways so it is now a mountain. We’ve got a few glass ones and they are excellent. Should just get more and recycle the rest

I have a lot of stuff, but most of the flat is pretty neat and organised. Some of your kitchen cupboards are freaking me out a bit, although I have been forced to live like that in the past when sharing with other people

We have a migrating chaos pile. It’s usual life-cycle is that it will get moved and tidied into a bigger pile until it reaches its final resting place on top of my record-player. The next time I try to play vinyl, I will then separate it into separate chaos piles for individual members of the family to sort. These will be ignored for around 24 hours, then re-compiled into a master chaos pile, which will once more begin its noble migration around the kitchen.

it started out as just our camping stuff while we were getting the roof of the shed replaced, then a load of suitcases moved there from babby room, then the shed got fixed and filled up with stuff from the utility room so we could leave a buggy in there, then we got given a load of stuff that’s more toddler-appropriate than babby, so that got added to the pile of stuff, then i tried to find summat in the camping stuff, then i tried to find summat in the suitcases, now it’s a chaos corner. hope we don’t need to get to the boiler in the cupboards behind it all :grimacing:

My office is also like this, I have a corner that’s nice where my typing table is, and then there’s a rack of shelving with the washing baskets, important documents, tool kit, screws, light bulbs, other shit on, the indoor dryer next to it, a mini Christmas tree, a tower fan, a faux leather footstool, a duvet (I sleep in the office if I’m snoring too much sometimes so that at least makes sense). Like, it’s tidy, it’s not that chaotic, but if you split the room in half it’s like two entirely different rooms
