Da Joka?
This is a Chappel Roam thread. I dont think people here are adverse to people sounding like theyre having fun on record
It’s DiS, people here are averse to everything.
It’s a no from me on first listen
close! it’s a song
reminded me of this
fair play to elton tho, the mad old fucker. yeah i’ll just sit on my little chair in the middle of the stage and sing the choruses. no i cba learning the rest of the song, no i dont think i’ll do anything else really
You know what
Fair point
TBF on this occasion he’s being a bit critic-from-The-Simpsons / “Yes Funko, everyone’s averse to fun”
My friend is a sapphic dentist Barbie and having the best day of her life rn
worried I’m not going to like this so maybe it’s best to just not listen
10 seconds into the new one and I know it ain’t for me. God bless those of y’all enjoying it, however x
It doesn’t really matter if you like it. You will hear it once and the lyrics and melody will retain in your brain forever and play unprompted.
It’s giving “rubbish”
Listened to it twice and can’t remember anything about it, other than it having a lot of fiddle
Hope she finds this thread and tells us all off tbh
love the little vocal run at the end
I generally hold this view. Wasn’t a fan of Jack White’s excursions into this territory and Frank Black’s country influenced stuff is more miss that hit but all the Viagra Boys stuff in this vein has been great so far.
Misread this as Venga Boys monentarily
bit of a weird one this. I don’t particularly like the song, but I do like that it’s a fun country thing. I read earlier that Chappel Roan said it would be funny to do a lesbian country song and yeah, it is funny! Yet, it’s not particularly exciting either. It’s just kind of OK.
Maybe it’s suffering from being the first single since Good Luck Babe (and it’s hard not to scrutinise her output right now), but I don’t know, this is her weakest single right?
