Whoโs feeling excited about spring/summer?? My soul is feeling lighter already!
Whoโs feeling excited about spring/summer?? My soul is feeling lighter already!
Been sat in the sun all weekend and itโs been fantastic.
Canโt wait to go sit inside away from it all in 4 weeks too though
I messaged a friend to set up a bank holiday wine and Iโm just absolutely buzzing for it. Saw my local friendship group for the first time in 4 months yesterday and it was amazing to just hang out with a group of people and laugh loads and chat shit in the park. Omg.
Might actually cry when I get my hair cut (less than 4 weeks to go!!!).
Iโve got the day off so Iโm currently lying in a hammock in the garden. Pretty great tbh.
Went for a drink last week with a mate, first time Iโd seen anyone in six months, and found it weirdly overwhelming. Felt like I wanted to chat shit for hours but also had absolutely nothing to talk about?
Guess socialising is sort of a muscle that needs flexing and weโre all out of practise. Was really nice to do something that wasnโt just sitting around the house, anyway. A total relief.
Nobody does really. Just gotta get pissed and talk nonsense until things start happening again.
I really need to make some granita
Weโve started eating dinner outside in the back yard again. Lovely stuff.
For the last 25+ years I play The Breeders - Saints repeatedly when itโs the first day of spring/summer in my head.
I did that a few weeks ago or so during that two day so-called heatwave. Might do it now on the walk to my parentsโ garden.
Dr Mrs Epimer took her laptop into the garden earlier for a meeting to enjoy the sunshine, not expecting to have to speak. She got asked a question near the end and just as she went off mute to answer, a crow flew over her head giving it โCA-CAW!โ
Itโs unbelievable how much better it is to wake up from the sun peaking through your blinds, I absolutely live for it. Waking up with the sun always makes me feel fantastic!
raining now
Thank fuck
I am making granita
Went for a walk after dinner to see the bluebells, and also saw a heron, and heard a woodpecker.
(saw lots of swans, ducks, geese, coots and parakeets as well)
do you live in the zoo?
Birdnet is a really fun app if youโre walking somewhere wildlife-y, by the way. Itโll record a bit of your surroundings and try and ID the birdsong.
The lightbulb in my kitchen is sort directly behind where i stand when i wash up so sometimes i miss a few bits when i wash up at night in the winter, so the spring evening means im back to my 10/10 washing up.
Sometimes it feels like it!
Ahahahaha
Our woodpecker in the park is back too, I recorded it doing some woodpecking. When I picked our kid up from school this afternoon we went to the park for her to have a run around with her mates and I just lay in the sun, and it was amazing. So nice, all the blossom on the trees and the little clouds in the sky. Epic niceness.
