Went to Paper Tiger when we were in Edinburgh just before Christmas last year. Really nice Christmas cards. Have ordered a few bits to be delivered.

These guys make their own cured meats in the basement of their Edinburgh shop and only use local produce.

Thank you

Didn’t know about these guys, 100% getting my dad something from here for Christmas. Also, bourbon chorizo hubba hubba

If you like fennel, the fennel salami is very good. All I would say is that whatever you get, it should be sliced very thinly. They are much firmer than supermarket style chorizo so if you cut larger chunks it will be quite chewy.

If anyone is looking for things for a 4/5 year old I highly recommend this. We got it for my daughter’s birthday in October and it’s probably her most used toy outside of Playmobil since. They do lots of others too, I think also for older kids.

Oh, while I mention Playmobil, there is 25% off everything on the official Playmobil website for Black Friday

We have this too, she loves it

Oh and playmobil…the camper van is their absolute best imo. I see they’ve updated the design this year (think the one we got last year seems a hit better but still looks a stellar gift that will last for years).

These guys are brilliant. This bastard in particular is the absolute BUSINESS :ok_hand:

My nephew has one and loves it. He’ll be 2 in December and he already goes down big ramps at the skate park and along the pump track and stuff

Looking for ideas for my Nephew. He’s severely autistic. He doesn’t really talk. He’s 8 years old and goes to mainstream school but has a learning support assistant assigned to him. It’s normally hard getting age appropriate gifts. Help please!

I’ll have to take your word for it, I can’t stand mushrooms or the taste of truffle oil!

Could the gravitrax game mentioned earlier in the thread be good for him. Something he can sit down with and put together?

Would like to buy him indoors a nice insulated jacket, preferably recycled material rather than down, and not too technical (I showed him nice Rab and Montane ones and he didn’t seem too keen). I have a Finisterre one (https://finisterre.com/collections/womens-outerwear/products/womens-nimbus-recycled-polyester-blue) and so far this or the slightly more spendy one looks to be at the top of the list for him so far but I’m really trying hard for us not to go round with the same bloody jacket all the time. Any other suggestions?

Brilliant, glad oxfam is on the list too, they have some really good home stuff. Their baskets seems a good purchase for pretty much anyone. Who doesn’t love a woven basket.

Have you checked out Patagonia?

I think they’re made with 50% recyclable materials.

Not an insulated jacket but bf has this and loves it. He wears it with a patagonia fleecey vest or a puffer he got from Italy

I bought a b&m woven basket at the start of lockdown and glued a plastic bag inside to make a little plant pot. I think originally it was designed for sanitary products.

I’ve got baskets all over the place, can’t stop buying them. Arguably I’ve probably run out for things to store but I could always store baskets in baskets.

Like the plant pot idea :bulb:
