Ooooh my god, they look SO cosy. See, this is the problem, I keep on wanting to buy all of these for ME. I am so bad at buying for other people… unless that other person likes exactly the same things I like

Same. We should go out then we could buy all these things for each other.

Haha, yes please

I think he would love those slippers though. He just wants to wear duvets on his feet. But sadly they’ve sold out  His birthday is in January though so maybe they’ll be back in stock by then!!

If you’ve got the time, home made presents are always the best. My LDR made me a pre-Christmas present in the form of an advent calendar in the form of bags filled with traditional Swiss delicacies with little notes explaining their significance in Swiss culture. The level of time and effort involved made it extra special.

Butttt you can do it in a pan easy enough.

What would you recommend as a present for someone that doesn’t like popcorn?

Tastebud transplant

Popcorn is rubbish and you’re in denial.

Not even the taste, I can’t even evaluate it on that because I am too distracted by the painful way it gets caught in my teeth and hurts my gums.

Got this for my bf. Boring but he likes life to be “plain”.

Hold on, I don’t think these are legit! (cc @Witches) — I so nearly ordered some too :pensive:

Dodgy/fake sites in FB/insta targeted ads seems to becoming a big problem. Most of the things that I & my partner see that look nice don’t hold up to a bit of searching to find out whether they’re legit

Oh no! I never think to do trust pilot!

Yeah I’ve started doing that, and just generally googling the brand. Tends to be also if they have a sale on everything and weird prices (£27.36 or something) then I dig a bit and look at their “About us” etc. Quite often you get stuff that just doesn’t look right, and it’s usually a sign of either a scam or a dropshipping thing

Instagram convinced both me and my husband that he would die if he didn’t get some Finisterre gear and it turns out that it’s actually really good stuff. I got him a couple of the big woolly jumpers for his birthday and he loves them so much he ended up buying himself another one, and I also got him a merino base layer top that’s nice enough to wear just as a normal long-sleeved top. They seem like they’re really good about sustainability too.

Oh no! That’s a shame :frowning:

I never check trust pilot often either, thanks for reminding me to do so.

I’ve just googled another brand I recently discovered and ordered from and eek, some of the reviews are amazing and some are really bad… fingers crossed it doesn’t go horribly :sob:

I think you’re probably OK if some of the reviews are good! The real dodgy ones are the ones where like 100% are negative!
