So there are kind of two halves to a card transaction
There is the authorisation - what happens at the till when you do your order. They shop don’t actually get any money at that point. They just get confirmation from your card provider that you are good for it
The money bit happens later
Sometimes it never comes (like when you pay a deposit at a hotel on a credit card, they don’t usually take the money, just do the authorisation )
After a period of time your card provider will stop showing a transaction as pending as the money bit never came
So you are likely not getting cheese any time soon
