Working today.
Working tomorrow.
Deadline to get a paper written.

Then… first proper holiday since April (not counting pat leave in June because it nearly killed me). Two weeks during which I will sit around drinking Bloody Marys in my pyjamas eating mince pies with double cream. It seems strange to be looking forward to anything with all the horror going on at the moment, but I expect it will be moderately glorious.

There were no subs or missing items, but the system had shit itself so - after much deliberation - they had to scan everyone’s items through the till and subtract the deposit so we could pay for them.

Say what you like about the Fiveways area in Brighton (the houses are overpriced, there’s no good pubs), but the people who live there are probably the only people in the country who are still any good about social distancing in the street and outside shops

First day off. Going to go food shopping (it is, of course, absolutely hammering down with rain), then probably do a load of housework. Fun.

Also just realised that despite being quite smug about sorting out presents well in advance, I’ve completely forgotten to get my housemate anything. Booze it is, then.

My gf is going to pick up a turkey we no longer need (her family aren’t coming down/I don’t eat meat).
I’m not allowed to go with as apparently I’ll just make it more stressful

I don’t think it has sunk in that our old landlord has been charged with criminal offences under our eviction.

Good morning all. I am very tired and the dogs have woken me up barking like they’re attacking someone.

Barring minding a tiny baby, my only plan today is to set up an old component stereo system. I’m very much looking forward to that.

Got up about half 7, just me in bed, assumed TV had gone off early to pick stuff up / drive to fam / whatever. So just sat at the desk in my grundies and did a bit of work, went downstairs about 45 minutes ago to be greeted by the smell of mini party sausage rolls cooking :drooling_face: 50 in a bag, now about 8 left and I’m very sleepy and content and I got a kiss. MERRY XMAS EVE EVE. Might have a walk along the river later holding hands.
