We do all 3 - Julafton (Christmas Eve), Juldagen (Christmas Day), Annandagen (literally ’another day’ ie Boxing Day). All 3 are public holidays

The we have ’Mellandagarna’ - literally ’inbetween days’ - for the week between Christmas & New Year

I’m all about leaning into feeling sad with music. Definitely has been a kind of mindfulness this year where I put on that album and get a moment to just be sad for a bit because there are things I need to feel sad about.

Wrapping paper is a shared resource!

I’ll just use any wrapping paper in the house, even if it’s crap and cheap. It’s wrapping paper, it’s going in the bin

In defence of ribbons…I save all my ribbons and reuse them year on year (and they mean you don’t need sellotape making the paper recyclable).

ended up getting the contractors number and calling him and he was denying that it wasn’t working properly so i argued with him on the phone

don’t wanna sound like a karen complaining about customer service but it’s so crap here, everything’s outsourced and nobody is accountable / can be arsed to help so it’s proper tiring to navigate sometimes

Reading the book version of that I actually sobbed :sob:

Strongly recommend the graphic novels. They also recently released a Sparrow Scout’s Badge Guide which I think I would be ecstatic about if I was a child :blush:

Got a bit behind on watching the new series, really wanted to get to the Yule Lads episode before Christmas but not sure I’ll make it now.

Really want to get into the Christmas biscuits but they are embargoed until Christmas eve :frowning_face:

Also, in the reverse of @rich-t’s problem we have we too many sprouts, trying to think if there is any way I can cook something with them for lunch.
