Hello and welcome dearest festive friends, to this year’s bumper edition of the Sunday Dinner thread, where we share all the delicious food we’re enjoying on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day

You don’t have to celebrate the birth of the little baby Jesus to join in with this thread, everyone is welcome and however you’re spending this weekend we’d love to see what you’re eating

Started the day with this not very photogenic but very tasty vegan sausage naan from DiS approved non-local Indian Dishoom (it was a kit to cook them at home, highly recommend).

Tacos and booze later.

Haven’t tried the veggie one but those Dishoom naans are amazing, the cream cheese and chilli jam combo is

This is all the information I have so far

Bit worried he’s going to cook us a big fry up for breakfast tomorrow and then expect us to be hungry for a roast a few hours later

Boiled egg and cereal and stuff for breakfast

Butter bean soup and smoked salmon on homemade bread for lunch, plus homegrown rhubarb and yoghurt for afters

That’s my go-to soft drink atm.

Edit: doesn’t work cos it’s got ‘white wine’ printed on the front. Just imagine I said something else and it was hilarious.

Made some maple mustard cocktail sausages for lunch alongside a camembert with some part baked baguettes. As is tradition here we will be having coca cola ham and dauphinois for tea.

Happy Christmas feasting

Lunch was roast ham (Delia recipe)* with jacket potatoes and homemade slaw

* Delia is still the queen of Christmas food after all these years

Had a samosa for breakfast, followe by 2 samosas for lunch. Dinner will be 3 samosas roast pork belly and all the etcs because we aren’t having a Xmas dinner tomorrow.

Just made a hot chocolate that involved drowning Santa in boiling hot milk

Marshmallows for the wife’s and a test tube of gingerbread syrup in mine.

Home made Chicken Chasni and Chicken Pathia that was cooked yesterday and getting reheated today.

Also got a saag aloo on the go.

Introducing Brazilians to British style curry and expecting mixed reactions…

I’ve only eaten 2 bits of toast and marmite today - I’m not being very festive yet
