Looking forward to it. I generally enjoy a Christmas do. Get hammered, talk shit with colleagues. Dance to songs I don’t like. They have some sort of band on called the Bogus Brothers. According to the bumf, Alex Ferguson said “Bogus Brothers, absolutely fantastic”, and Eddie Jordan said “I’ve booked the Bogus Brothers for my 60th and all my kids weddings - Fantastic” - they look shit.

There was some weird falling out in our office before I started, so instead of everyone going out together, there’s a really small clique (some of whom retired in the meantime) who go out at Xmas. I sit on the desk of the main cliquer and get invited along.

We’re re going out on 23rd Dec to a restaurant in Glasgow and my two favourite people can’t come.

I’m thinking about arranging drinks or something with other people in the office. I won’t go any further than thinking about it though.

Last two years I’ve been asked to leave for dancing too wildly which made them think I was much more drunken than everyone else. Hope to avoid that this year. Just can’t help it when I hit the flo.

Emirates Stadium, Thursday 15th
A League Of Their Own themed, we are being put in teams which means Flintoff and Redknapp will be there (Corden too expensive these days I’d say) and I might have to engage in shenanigans which is a bit tryhard.
Defo some sort of buffet, the usual corporate outside caterer thing (one year we had these pulled pork bhajis that were unreal)
Free wine and bottled beers usually

I will tip my hat and say my company does pretty awesome parties. We booked out the entire of Brooklyn Bowl last night for a Halloween Party and there were mechanical body parts in glass jars and professional make up artists and that.

Our official Christmas party which we still have to pay for ourselves, is at the local Pizza Express. I’m not going to that.

I’m organising our unofficial departmental Christmas party. Obviously we still have to pay for ourselves, but I’m planning a trip to a new Independant Greek restaurant folllowed by just going to a pub.

Last year we just went to the same pub (an Antic). got drunk and we all went back to a Russian colleagues flat and drank Vodka with her Russian friends. Was far more fun than the official where your on best behaviour and paying for the privilege, fuck that again.
