I quite like most of them actually, although not Santa Baby (too creepy/gold-diggy) and there’s one played at work with children and a high-pitched woman singing “Merry Christmas, happy holidays, as it was in the olden days” which massively grates. I’ve typed in the lyrics and google can’t find any trace of its existence, so I don’t know what circle of hell the directors had to go to in order to find it and stick it on hourly rotation.

Step Into Christmas is ace

Mud is clearly the best out of the shopping-centre-type Christmas songs

Been getting really into this one this year though

I really like the Mike Oldfield one because it’s fucking ridiculous.

Nearly half of you don’t like All I Want For Christmas Is You. WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE?

The ones that remind me of die hard, lethal weapon, etc…

Can we really make every effort here not to ensure Fairytale of New York is not the winner, as it wins every list, cheers. (It’s fine I guess though)

The best by an absolute mile for me Clive

I’ve done my bit and unvoted for it

it’s all about the christmas ALBUM

a motown christmas
the jackson 5 christmas album
the supremes’ merry christmas
luther vandross’ this is christmas
mariah’s merry christmas (also, the second #extrafestive one)
DESTINY’S CHILD’S 8 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS
could go on but i won’t

Or, more NRwRC appropriate, Sufjan’s got two, Bright Eyes has one and LOS CAMPESINOS! have released a christmas EP

Marys Boy Child is the most underrated if just for the humming bit

how have you left out Sleigh Ride by The Ronnettes?

The only Xmas in our house is the Mickey Bubbles one.

Wor Lass found a Hip Hop Christmas playlist on Spotify but it was bad.

the only christmas EP i recognise is by ariana grande

i made one once but i don’t use spotify anymore (refuse to subject myself to the absolute shit lack of functionality of the desktop app). quite hard when 90% of them are novelty songs.
