I had to explain to my housemate that a nut roast isn’t just one huge nut

I wish I could go to the pub on Christmas Day. I know my old local does a lock-in but it’s invite only and I’ve never been asked. :pensive:

think I’ve used that exact phrase before

I’ve got a seitan roast from Moodley Manor, had one last year and it was great! Expensive but worth it, but roast is good but want something a bit different for Christmas.

My veggie daughter * does an amazing cheese pie. Last Christmas she made one for me and her and put some cranberries in it. Boom, instant Christmas.

Me neither! My pal runs the only decent pub in Edinburgh’s Old Town. It opened last year on Christmas Day and I’m hoping it will this year as well cos we’re gonna go.

Stack of fake meat.

Anyone else dreading Christmas politics arguments? My family are a bit centrist-dad in many ways, and my political views have really diverged from theirs in the last year and a bit.

I’m worried about any discussion about sexual harassment because I’ll probably call people misogynists when they say misogynistic things which is apparently ‘crossing a line’ but i’m a bit beyond biting my tongue atm

Absolutely detest orange flavoured chocolate.

We open a couple of little ones in the morning and then any big ones after dinner (when we’re all pissed)

doing a puff pastry tart thing because I want to try making vegan ‘’‘butter’’’ that’ll laminate for the pastry (love a Christmas project). If its gross or I can’t be bothered, veggie haggis.

Strangely enough Christmas Day is usually the one time we don’t talk about politics because there’s too much else going on. Any other time though and my dad’s there trying to convince me that discriminating against Muslims isn’t racist because Muslims aren’t a race :pensive:

To be honest, I can’t remember, but I wouldn’t be surprised if I did when I was 3 or something.
