Pretty good at that. I like chatting about the best alternative as to travel to a specific place. And I’m annoying in that I only need to travel somewhere once and that will be imprinted in my memory

She’s a bit older than me so I suspect we never crossed paths…

That’s a good idea

Oh can’t wait for this chat from my Tv’s dad and mine. We followed Google maps and will do so on every future journey weird men GO AWAY

First Christmas since we bought a place, so we’re going nowhere. :sunglasses: I am delighted.

can’t Barry just get the train the lazy prick ?

I think I’ve heard every variation of the ‘Barry is also a persons name!’ joke since moving here thanks to my ‘friends.’ “We are entering Barry!” never gets old.

Knew we should have moved to Caerphilly. I could have lived with the cheese jokes.

ha. Sorry. Where did you move from ? Barry is a random place to end up. But better than Caerphilly probably, at least you have some coastline…

I should pay more attention. I guess you moved from Barnsley !

Barnsley originally, but me and the gf were in Cardiff for 3 years before buying a house in Barry. It was a strange compromise as she didn’t want to live in a city any more and I wanted to still be able to get pissed in Cardiff and get the train home pretty easily. The coastline is pretty nice tbf. And we have Hangfire.

21st: Manchester to Glasgow
30th: Glasgow to Oxford

Both by :oncoming_automobile:

Will do both journeys post 6:30pm so shouldn’t be too bad traffic wise

Good choice I’d say. Really want to try Hangfire at some point. Always have kids in tow though and guess it isn’t for them…

22nd - walk home
23rd - stay at home
24th - stay at home
25th - stay at home
26th - stay at home
27th - walk to work

Caerphilly’s got the castle though. That’s nice.

Well, they do have a kids menu. And they do smores for dessert, which the young 'uns seem to go crazy for. You have to book about 6 months in advance though these days…

Welsh people do it Caerphilly etc.

it does. Other than that it’s an unrelenting shit hole though. Apologies if you love it or live there.
