why the fuck are you limiting it to 4 veg? Roast anything should feature, as a minimum, the following accompaniments:

Roast potatoes
Roast pumpkin
Roast carrot
Roast sweet potato or parsnip (if not both)
Roast onion (and/or leak)
Boiled/steamed cauliflower
Boiled/steamed broccoli
Boiled/steamed zucchini
Boiled/steamed peas and/or beans

Personally, I’d throw in some corn (on the cob or otherwise) as well, and maybe some sprouts too.

AND A YORKSHIRE FUCKING PUD!

that’s right, a bit of piss vapour never hurt anyone

Let’s make it easy for you: in addition to roast potato, you need a minimum 2 orange, 2 white and 2 green.

you’re not even irish m8

or from the ivory coast

Fuck off, carrots

how many pans do you have?

you only need two roasting pans (one for meat and potatoes, one for the other veg) and one large pot/steamer.

(I have at least half a dozen)

meat and two veg

Because I intend on drinking heavily whilst cooking and anything more than 4 might get a bit out of hand. Also, cannot be fucked peeling and prepping all that lot.

And roast anything should feature as a minimum 9 or more vegetables? Yes mate, of course it should. This is like that 48hr bolognese bollocks, though probably worse.

I have a massive roasting tin

on xmas day it will be full of a massive turkey - there won’t be enough room to make the quantity of roast potatoes I require in the same tin

or belgium

I NEVER have under 5 vegetables on any roast at any point of the year. I usually push for at least 7+

And that would’ve been enough to give you the pretentious roaster crown, but I’m afraid you’re gonna have to go minimum 10 now. Sorry.

Beetroot in white sauce, tasty and a bit different for Christmas.
