Always going to be the speculation I guess when someone reacts like that, but it was right in front of the ref and while I’m sure it wasn’t nice, defaulting to assuming it was racist because the person on the receiving end was a person of colour (and probably also partly due to the offender being South American) is a little… well you know.

All we can do is wait and find out. Really not helpful to just speculate.

Yeah, sorry, I phrased this really badly - I’m an idiot. Obviously not “similar” in any actual meaning of the word.

What I mean is - by no means an expert in Brazilian race relations, but iirc Pardo Brazilians (which I think is Firmino’s descent?) face an equivalence to people of afro-caribbean descent in UK in terms of abuse etc.

Just surprised there’d be an abuse. But not gonna deny my ignorance.
